The next shift starts where yours stopped.

Teasel is one page of handover notes for teams that work in shifts.

Handover

From Dana, late shiftTo Marlow, early shift

  • Needs doing

Call the supplier before 10:00. Two pallets are missing from bay 2.

    Carried over from Tuesday

  • Heads up

The label printer on the dispatch desk jams. Use the one by the door.

  • Done

Returns from Tuesday are checked in.

A handover in Teasel. The people and the notes are made up.

How it works

Three steps, once per shift.

  1. Write it as you leave.

Add a note for each thing the next person needs to know. Mark it Needs doing, Heads up or Done.

  2. The next person reads it first.

It is the first thing they see when they sign in. They mark it read, and you can see that they did.

  3. Open things carry over.

A note that is still Needs doing appears in the next handover until somebody marks it Done.

What it is

Beside the tools you already use.

  • Your rota says who works when. Teasel says what they find.
  • Your chat answers questions. A handover answers them first.
  • Your task manager holds projects. Teasel holds tonight's loose ends.
