Power that has gone off and will not come back on, and breakers that keep tripping.
Faults and safety checks
Finding the fault, fitting smoke alarms, and a safety check with a written report.
Lights and fittings
Ceiling lights, pendants and dimmers, fitted and wired in.
Sockets and switches
New sockets inside and outdoors, and switches that have stopped working.
Car chargers at home
A charger for an electric car, fitted on the drive or in the garage.
Small jobs nobody else will come out for
The loose socket, the dead light on the landing, the oven that needs wiring in.

To come out and look at it: £60; Covers the first hour. Most small jobs are finished inside it, and that is all you pay.
Each hour after the first: £45; Plus parts, and I tell you the price before I start.
Evenings, weekends and holidays: £90; To come out. The hourly rate stays at £45.
Pricing a bigger job: Free; I come out, look at it properly and give you a price for the whole thing.

How a job goes

You ring, I answer.
Tell me what it is doing and when it started. If you can put it right yourself, I will tell you how.
I come and look.
I find the fault first. A small job is usually finished on the same visit.
You hear the price first.
If it needs parts or more time, I tell you what it will cost before I start.
The bill matches.
