Demo · D2

A website for a building contractor - built so the first call is about your job.

Five pages, six jobs drawn as plans, and an enquiry that attaches the job closest to yours.

Someone planning an extension or a loft has seen a hundred photographs and still cannot tell whether you have built anything like theirs. This site shows six jobs as plans with their sizes, and the enquiry sends the closest one along with what they want changed.

It is a finished five-page site you can open and press. Buy this one and we build the same pages around your services and your jobs.

Fennel & Lintel, its two people and its six jobs are invented, and its email address and phone number reach nobody.

Judgement

What this build demonstrates

  • Jobs drawn as plans, with no photographs

A new contractor rarely has a photo library. Each job is a line drawing with its sizes marked, so the page has real content on day one and nothing to stage.

  • An enquiry that attaches the closest job

Tick a job on the projects page and it arrives ticked in the enquiry. The draft email carries the job, the size and what the buyer wants changed, so the first call is about the work.

  • How a job runs, written as a set of sheets

The process is a register of issued sheets with a clause for each and an example programme. A buyer can read what happens each week before signing.

  • No credential, price or result invented

Gas and electrical work is promised to named specialists in the quote, with no registration shown. No client, figure or award appears, so nothing on the page needs a footnote.

Fit

The kind of business it suits

A small building firm that quotes jobs one at a time.

  • Renovation and extension builders
  • Loft, kitchen and bathroom specialists
  • Garden room and outbuilding builders
  • Small firms that take structural work

A poor fit for a firm that sells from a price list. A single page does that job, and we would say so and point you at the One-pager.
