Cookie Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how the Kalebtec Websites site at websites.kalebtec.com uses cookies and similar technologies. Read it together with our Privacy Policy. It follows the ePrivacy rules as applied in Spain (Article 22 of Law 34/2002, LSSI-CE) and the guidance of the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD).
01 — The honest summary
This site runs on strictly-necessary storage plus analytics cookies that load only with your consent. We don't run advertising trackers and we don't sell your data. On your first visit a small banner asks whether we may switch analytics on — declining is one click, exactly as easy as accepting — and analytics stay off until you opt in.
You can change your mind at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer. This page always tells you the current truth about what runs and when.
02 — What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website can store on your device. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixels. They can be:
- Strictly necessary — needed for the site to work or to remember a choice you made. These don't need your consent under the law.
- Non-essential — analytics, functional, or advertising technologies. Under Spanish law these require your prior, informed consent before they're placed. We use one tool in this category (PostHog, for product analytics), and it runs only after you opt in.
Cookies are also either first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by another service).
03 — What we use today
- Preference storage (strictly necessary, first-party) — a single
localStorageentry namedtheme, storing the light/dark/system preference you set yourself with the theme toggle, plus akalebtec-analytics-consententry that remembers your analytics choice so we don't ask again. You choose these; they stay on your device. No consent required. - Product analytics (non-essential, first-party — off unless you accept) — if you opt in, PostHog sets cookies and uses local storage to measure how the site is used so we can improve it. It is hosted in the EU, we never sell your data, and it stays off until you consent. See section 04.
- Stripe Checkout (strictly necessary, third-party) — when you pay, checkout runs on checkout.stripe.com and Stripe sets its own strictly-necessary cookies there to process the payment securely. These are set on Stripe's domain, not ours, and are essential to complete a purchase.
That's it. No advertising, no social-media trackers, no cross-site profiling.
04 — Analytics
When you opt in, we use PostHog to understand how people use the site — which pages help, where people get stuck — together with session replays and automatic error reports, so we can fix problems and improve the site. PostHog sets cookies and uses local storage, which is why it needs your consent and only runs after you accept.
It's privacy-respecting by design: your data is hosted in the European Union (eu.i.posthog.com), we never sell it or use it for advertising, and text you type into forms is masked in session replays so it isn't recorded. If you decline, none of this runs.
Separately, we use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page counts. It's cookieless — it stores nothing on your device and doesn't identify you — so under the ePrivacy rules it needs no consent and runs regardless of your analytics choice.
05 — Your choices and how to withdraw consent
Analytics are off until you accept. You can accept or decline from the banner on your first visit, and change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer. Declining — or withdrawing consent after you accepted — is as easy as accepting, takes one click, and takes effect immediately.
You also remain in full control of cookies in your browser — every major browser lets you block or delete them. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop parts of the site (like Stripe Checkout) from working.
06 — Changes to this policy
We'll update this page whenever our use of cookies changes, and update the "last updated" date. If we add anything that needs consent, we'll ask before it runs.
