Demo · E5
A website for a photographer and filmmaker - built to get an enquiry with a date on it.
A site that moves like a title sequence, and reads the same when nothing moves.
Somebody hiring a photographer is choosing a day, so the first question is whether that day is free. The site shows the work, says what it costs, and asks for the date.
The scenes wipe in as you scroll, in CSS only. Buy this one and the same pages are built for your work, your shoots and your prices.
Tallow Lane Pictures and Marit Quist are invented, and so are the prices. The photographs are placeholders.

Judgement
What this build demonstrates
The enquiry asks what, when and where
The form writes an email with the shoot, the date and the place already in it. A line under the date flags dates already gone or under four weeks out.
Motion that follows your scroll
The title card and the frames wipe and slide in as the visitor scrolls, with CSS alone. With reduced motion on, every word is already there.
Rates published by shoot
Four shoots, a starting price for each, and what moves it. Visitors check the budget before writing, so the inbox fills with people who know the price.
Fit
The kind of business it suits
Someone who sells a day of their work, and whose pictures do the persuading.
- Wedding and event photographers
- Portrait and family photographers
- Videographers and short-film makers
- Brand and product photographers
A studio that needs a calendar visitors pick dates from, payment on the site, or client galleries behind a login needs a custom build.
Your site
Yours would be built the same way
Same price, same week, drawn for your trade. You see five design directions first and pick the one that ships.
